Few things, I aint starting drama here.


Faction Strikes

Strikes were un-managed and terribly executed this past Platinum map. For future maps, you need a designated staff rank, i.e Sr Mod or Admin, to have access to core inspect and have the ability to deliver strikes, as multiple Managers who had the responsibility were too lazy and inactive and still remain to be, which brings me to my next point.

Corrupt/Incapable Managers

I'm not going to name names here, but a couple of Managers have been delivering false bans left right and centre, including myself who fell victim to a false ban. Furthermore, when people actually got banned for BLATANT cheats, they appealed and were unbanned instantly, sometimes with incorrect or no counter proof. The forums management needs a desperate revamp with experienced and capable people, not dumbasses.

Screensharing

It's not beyond the realms to hire a decent head of screensharing that knows what to do and teach willing people. I know screensharing didn't work last time due to certain people (@GageLayton) but you learn from mistakes and make it better. It's impossible to PvP legit against the shear volume of cheaters that are on OPCraft, and with poor management, the cheaters are getting away with cheating and the legit people are being banned. Screensharing is the perfect balance and is what EVERY server needs to maintain balance.

Tightening down of Rules

To also control cheaters and foul-play on the Faction servers, a tighten down on strikes is needed. For example, instead of every 3 server bans equating to 1 strike, make every 1 ban equate to a strike, then no competitive faction will have cheaters. At the moment, 15 server bans is WAY too many chances, it should be 5 in my opinion.

Economy Changes

I know talking about the economy to the Owners is a grey area due to their views, but the economy is too hard and slow. To quicken the pace and intensity of a map, there should be a fast economy to favour the competitive edge. When I played with Revival, it took us almost 3 weeks to get to 1k Iron Golems, which then slows down the process of raiding and exponential growth. Moreover there is no base economy to build up to Iron Golems, i.e crop/lower tier spawner. Arguably, we found Zombies were the most worth during the Platinum map, but it still took a lot to buy up to 100 zombies to make it actually efficient. However, the addition of missions has mostly improved the starting economy.


Unless these things change, I have no interest in bringing Revival back here, as the server seriously needs a change that differentiates from the same boring feel of OPCraft.
Next map, we will have certain specialists monitoring the faction strikes and other rule breakers.

You don't seem to understand how factions economy works, it should not take 3 weeks to hit 1 bil f top that is ridiculous, and it also takes about a day of afking to build up enough tnt to actually raid a base, and this was 3 weeks into the map. If you look at any faction on f top on platnium right now, not a single faction is above 300 milliion. The current economy has nothing to do with "OG Regular Factions." The whole point of "Regular Factions" was that you didn't have op items. It is a lot different from an "OP Economy." The economy on factions lava works because you can get looting 15 witch makes it a grinding economy. This same economy is botched when you change the highest looting enchant to looting 5. This is ridiculous.

Factions Platinum Suggestions:

I ve been playing OpCraft for years. Seeing things change really made it clear to me what makes the regular factions a better and what makes the regular factions a worse server to play on. So since Julian asked the community about features they would like to see , here is what I have to say :

First , lets talk about some of OPC's spawner economy on regular factons . I remember IGs always being 90% of player's main choice of spawners . That was due to the igs being easy to grind since the only thing you had to do after getting some money at the beggining of the map was to afk then and jsut expect the income .There was never really any change to this up until recently . (If it happened earlier forgive but I had quit mc for a little while).So I joined this map on January 7th , map started in December , and i realised there were a two main things added to make this choice a little bit more debateable . One being the /missions and the other being custom enchants . Although I remember agreeing with Nick (IceyTV) about custom enchants never joining this server I see now that they could have made a huge impact back then .What I mean by impact is that since custom enchants were added and people would need to grind for exp , there would only be 2 options . Either buy xp bottles from other players or farm mobs . This basically made people buy more blaze/cow/sheep/pig/zombie/skeleton/spider spawners as these are the easy ones to kill that grant a fair amouth of exp on kill .Obviously Im not saying that people didnt buy those in earlier maps but it wasnt their main choice and this has now changed with the addition of custom encahnts .As for the missions I see that they made players farm for exp and mob kills even more apart from fully AFKing a farm.This brings the competition to another level and makes players be more active which is good for the server in general .So these two were overall great additions to the server and I hope to see them stick around for as long as possible .

Let's now talk about the economy in general . It has always been a one way road to gain good amouts of money and that would be spawners . I believe that this needs to change . I do have some suggestions that I am going to mention here. 1)Koths should grand factions a certain amouth of money after winning , instead of the Koth Key , or even add an amount of money and maintain the key as well .2)Gambling has been a part of OPC for a long time now , the best gambling addition in my opinion was the casino . Right now the only way to gamble money on there is to drink the pots you can get at the bar since no one really uses the lottery . And let me explain how pots are not worth any time or money . So basiccaly right now the smallest amount of money you can gamble is $250 with a 45% chance to win $500 . As the numbers go up the chances of winning go down . Already starting low . Who do you expect to spend money on these when the chances to win are so low . Its just not worth the money to go for the high ones . Even if you were to keep doing the 250 ones it would take you hours to gamble millions to have a better chacne at winning . There fore i believe the casino would be a better addition to the game . Enough about the past tho . Lets talk about a new <<addition>> I would love to see in the game .

It is not really an addition but a change. As of now all crates on factions have the chance to give you prot1-prot 4 diamond gear or even kits. I dont think that people buy or earn these keys in order to get this gear .In my opinion these should be completely removed and new stuff to win should be added .Stuff that are worth buying a crate on the shop or worth buying a crate on the .ah for a specific amouth of money . Other things like obsidian for example should stay to prevent keys from becoming too OP .

Another addittion would be to /f perm a specific person to break or place in a factions terittory . Allowing a whole faction to break or place in your terittory is not really that good of an idea for obvious reasons and I dont think anyone uses the build/destroy perms . However a specific person , like the leader of your ally faction be very could beneficial in a lot of ways .For example he could help prevent raiders from raiding the ally's base , help trench etc...

The last addition I would love to see in factions is this . Currently the mob coin shop has 4 choices to choose from . It is time consuming to farm those coins .Having only 4 choices from which players can choose from to buy with the mob coins they spent hours farming is just not enough . In addition to that , the way the shop is set is not following the economy of the server . But let me explain this . The 2 creeper eggs currently cost 400 mob coins. Each creeper egg is $2500 on the /shop . So this means that each mob coin on this purchase is worth $0,16 . However you can also buy a mob hopper for 250 mob coins . Mob hopper s go for around 50k on the /ah , so this means that by purchasing this we give mob coins a value of $0,005 . This just does not make any sense and should be changed . Along with this eco change there should be more items to choose from for which there should be prices according to their actualy value .

These are the things I would love to see on OPC .

Bro , what? People have money and spawners worth billions . They just keep it both they money and the spawners in their pvs.We saw two factions hit the billion marker this map . Obviously this money has to be somewhere.
